The purpose of defining the goal of system audit is:

• To communicate and guide the relevant stakeholders when facilitating the audit.
• Helps to give clarity in terms of the success of the system audit. This also helps to frame the problem and prioritisation.
• It helps to define the requirements of System Audit from various stakeholders needs, problems and goals when comes to utilising the design system.
• Identifying what components and content require audit so that able to plan it simultaneously with the various stakeholders i.e. if is component related, the collaboration will be more of UI designers while if is content related, then will be the copywriters and content strategist.
